What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at ASC Hawaiian Gardens?
ASC Staffing Group is seeking to hire a Production Operator. This environment is for a supplier of bakery products located in the city of Rancho Dominguez.
Note: Previous experience in a food production environment, or similar role/environment is required.

- Observe all Company GMP’s, Sop’s, and SQF standards. Operate all manual, automatic and or material handling equipment, safely and efficiently, while maintaining high quality standards that meet or exceed Company's and customer requirements.
- Must be able to safely work with automated industrial equipment, including operation, change over and basic maintenance.
- Must Perform Lock Out Tag out (LOTO) when required.
- Follow the in confined spaces procedure when performing work inside a kettle, mixer or hopper, etc.
- Report all food safety and quality issues to immediate Supervisor and / Quality technician - Immediately report any safety issues to the supervisor, maintenance or management.
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality, and efficiency of their work center
- Comply with all company SOP’s (specific SOP’s particular for Job), GMP’s, and SQF (specify regulations)
- Always maintain a neat and sanitary work area (refer to pictures or additional details)
- Must conform to our Client's dress code and personal protective equipment policies
- Perform any other duties as instructed by the management
- Work on different workstations when needed
- Perform job rotation in order to reduce the stress on the body
- Operate Packing line per SOP instructions
- Ensure Line is sanitized using specified sanitizer
- Verify and Apply product specific labels and best by labeling
- Palletize pails/drums per Client's product specific requirements
- Use SAP system for recording production.
- Completing the pre-flight check list
- Must complete skill assessments with passing scores as defined by Client
- Must be able to use production computer screens as instructed. Must be able to have basic computer literacy and understanding of operating system
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate both verbal and in written form in English.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read and understand system instruction and training materials and show the ability to execute
- Must have the ability to get trained to work in Confined spaces
- Must be able to get certified to drive forklift when needed.
- Must be able to work overtime when mandated as business requires.
- Must be able to follow instructions.
- Must have the ability to work in different work areas when needed.
- Must be able to lift 50 lb.
- Must be able to perform all job functions pertinent to the process.
- SQF training, GMP training, SOP training

Schedule:
During Training (2-3 weeks) 4AM-12:30PM
Once fully trained, 12PM-8:30PM
