Job Description:
- Candidate will be working in cross-functional teams to develop system and board level cooling solutions for automated test equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Design heatsinks and cold plates to cool critical components on PCBs by performing airflow and liquid cooling thermal analyses
- Build prototype mock-ups when developing concepts to guide design
- Write and execute verification plans to ensure successful integration into the product.
- Conduct design reviews to demonstrate designs meet product requirements.
- Perform thermal testing to verify accuracy of models
- Communicate with suppliers to fabricate prototypes and production components.
- Capable of working with liquid piping, cooling, and pumping systems.
- Ideal candidate can design machined, sheet metal, and plastic parts in SolidWorks.
Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required
- BSME and 5 to 10 years of experience. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience with printed circuit board tools such as Circuit Works and Allegro
- Experience with board level thermal analysis using CFD tools such as Flotherm and SolidWorks Flow Simulation
- Experience with liquid delivery systems such as pumps, filters, and piping
- Proficiency in Solid works
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Hands-on prototype building experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
