X-ray Technician PRN

Job Summary
Responsible for performing intra-operative fluoroscopic images on patients.
Primary responsibilities

• Assist operative team in preparing patient for procedure to be performed.
• Participate in surgical pause, enter patient information into C - Arm.
• Assist operative team in positioning patient on operative table.
• Explain procedure to patient.
• Position patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately radiographed.
• Surround the exposed area with radiation protection devices.
• Position radiographic equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of a patient's body.
• Measure the thickness of the section to be radiographed.
• Adjust controls on the x-ray machine to produce radiographs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast of the body part.
• Keep patient records in compliance with state law
• Complies with infection control procedures.
• Adjust and maintain equipment, dosimetry badges, and protective gear.
• Experience with peripheral run offs, angiograms, and mapping.
• Locations in Phoenix, Tempe and Casa Grande
