What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory and Shipping/Receiving Clerks Needed position at ASC Process Systems?
Inventory Clerk Responsibilities:
- Maintain good housekeeping and organization of the Inventory Department.
- Stock parts in designated storage areas.
- Update the Inventory Control system with new inventory, and inventory pulls.
- Pulls parts from inventory.
- Perform inventory of parts and confirm storage locations.
- Responsible for reporting when “order below quantities” are reached, by requesting the purchase of replenishment of parts when quantity is reached.
- Responsible for reviewing purchase requests of special order sheets (green sheets) prior to submitting to the Inventory/Shipping/Receiving Supervisor.
- Reports issues regarding inventory to the Inventory/Shipping/Receiving Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Shipping/Receiving Clerk Responsibilities:
- Receive products from vendor deliveries and unload trucks with forklift.
- Inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation according to blueprints, parts manuals, company standards, and other specifications using precision measuring instruments and devices.
- Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and ensure that the products in each delivery match the packing list.
- Package products for return to vendors and fill out any paperwork necessary prior to the shipment being picked up.
- Label and store received goods appropriately and updates electronic records.
- Process loss freight or shipping damage claims. Verify freight bills with the Accounting department and resolve errors with carriers.
- Approves or rejects inaccurate or unacceptable orders received in the Inventory system and record inspection information.
- Fabricate shipping containers and crates, as needed.
- Prepare packing lists, Bill of Ladings, and other shipping documentation.
- Inspect all outgoing shipments to ensure proper packaging, address information, and item accuracy before shipments are made.
- Prepare and package materials for shipment.
- Must be available on various hours/shifts for shipments to go out, as necessary.
- Responsible to ensure all items and quantities are accurate prior to shipment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
