Job Description
We are seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to be an integral part of AscellaHealth's Accounting and Finance team.
This position will process accounts payable invoices and record accounts receivable cash receipts for the company's vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field, evaluate, and process vendor invoices per established processes.
- Process weekly cash disbursement runs within Ascella's financial system - ACHs, wires, and paper checks.
- Process paper check cash receipts through the bank deposit process.
- Monitor bank accounts and take necessary action for ACHs and wires received.
- Apply cash receipts to customer invoices within Ascella's financial system, investigate documentation to resolve bank account discrepancies, and issue stop payments and adjustments.
- Contribute to department team effort by assisting others with overlapping tasks, problems, and reconciliation issues.
- Assist with external audit requests.
Requirements:
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree, or four-year equivalent, in Accounting, Finance or related fields.
- At least two (2) years of accounting or related experience.
- Experience in working with accounting software and databases and Dynamics Business Central knowledge is a plus.
- A strong understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to use independent judgment and initiative based on familiarity with organization and accounting processes and procedures.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Ability to navigate and work proficiently in the Company's financial systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
