Optime Care is seeking a Team Pharmacist for our Berwyn, PA, location. We are looking for a people leader who is passionate about Specialty-prescribed therapies. This critical role will provide operations oversight to a patient care team. This position will not manage an active pharmacy but assist with supervising therapy adherence and health insurance appeals related to specialty therapies. This position could evolve into a PIC for this location.
This position will be required to be in the office 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, for the first 120 days for training purposes. After that, it can evolve into a hybrid role with 3 or 4 days in-office required depending on business needs.

The job details
- Oversee, assist, and provide ongoing support in the team's day-to-day activities.
- Review payer, operations, and activity reports, as well as other data to measure performance to goals.
- Review the care team's daily reports and reimbursement procedures to ensure the maintenance of operating processes (SOPs).
- Assist the Care Director in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees.
- Perform clinical monitoring activities in conjunction with other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and manage the ongoing knowledge of team members.
- Identify and develop areas of strength within team members.
- Provide any necessary directions and feedback to team employees.
- Assist with preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy practices and innovations in the field.
- Participate appropriately in staff and management meetings and patient care conferences.
- Other duties as needed or assigned by the business.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree, preferably a Masters in Pharmacy or a PharmD.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in pharmacy.
- A valid and current state license is required. Also, a Missouri Pharmacist License or ability and willingness to obtain a Missouri Pharmacist license within 6 months of hire.
- Previous experience in supervising staff is necessary.
- Knowledge of medical/pharmacy insurance benefit language such as EOB’s, deductibles, out-of-pocket, co-insurance, co-pays, etc.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing, Patient Assistance Program, and experience with prior authorization and SMN preparation would be helpful.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to communicate with all organizational levels, patients, and physician offices.
- Ability to think and act independently, formulate and support new ideas, and champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
