Senior Ongoing Service Coordinator - New York Early Intervention

Full Time

Position Location : Hawthorne, NY

50,000-$60,000 salary depending on experience

Ascend Autism is a family-centric, tech-enabled, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy company serving children and families across the Northeast. Through a natural and accessible approach to ABA, Ascend Autism is elevating the outcomes of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

The service coordinator is responsible for managing the early intervention caseload and ensuring clients receive high quality support tailored to their needs. This role involves scheduling, organizing, and overseeing the completion of services while maintaining strong relationships with clients, service providers and the Ascend team.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and service providers. Coordinate with other professionals, as necessary
  • Provide case management services for young children enrolled in early intervention services
  • Maintain organized documents and compliance in accordance with state and local requirements
  • Follow-up on cases upon assignment, monitoring ongoing services and therapist performance, and educating families about advocacy services
  • Advocate for families and problem solve, as necessary to ensure children receive the applicable services

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Service Coordination via the NYS Early Intervention Program
  • College graduate or some college experience, preferred
  • If college graduate, preferred areas of study : Social Services, Education or related field
  • Fluent in English; additional opportunities for candidates with other language fluency
  • Valid Driver's license and car insurance with access to reliable transportation
  • Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Enthusiastic personality that will engage families
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills with adults and clients
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with clinical staff, admin staff, parents, and clients in a positive and constructive way
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required for recordkeeping and documentation
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of standing and sitting throughout the home and / or classroom
  • Must be able to lift to 45 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with clients
