JOB TITLE: Residential Admissions Coordinator
RESPONSIBLE TO: Program Director
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY: To oversee the expedient admissions of new residents.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The role of the Residential Admissions Coordinator is to ensure that a 99% capacity agency-wide is maintained and that each referral is placed based on his/her appropriateness to the others in the site.
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
1. Assesses referrals for appropriateness of placement within Ascend.
· Coordinates prospective resident and family admissions.
· Reviews past information to assess history and identifies presenting problems.
· Identifies possible locations within Ascend for placement.
· Ensures each referral packet has all required information; i.e Tb, H and P, Current Med list, Face Sheet, Psych Eval, COVID-9 screening, UAs, etc.
· Tracks all open beds and discharged members
· Handles all inquiries via email or telephonically for all new admissions.
· Works with RPS, ARS to ensure state file is in compliance with all intake documentations
· Ensure all current updated policies are added to intakes and all intakes are completed by end of business day daily.
· Plans and organizers open beds with DRS and CEO.
· Sends out open bed announcements on as needed basis.
· Completes intake searches and UA at admission.
· Coordinates with Medical Coordinator to ensure all follow up appts are made for member’s medications.
2. Oversees admission process.
· Ensures that all licensure information is provided prior to intake.
· Reviews information with RPM and Director of Residential Services prior to intake.
· Maintains documentation of intake per licensure standards.
· Serves as the liaison with POs, parents, case managers and Ascend personnel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of clinical and developmental issues related to diagnosis.
2. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
3. Thorough knowledge of licensure requirements relative to intake documentation.
4. Ability to establish and maintain positive relations with state, PO, case managers and funding officials.

HOURS OF WORK: Forty (40) hours per week; exempt position.
EVALUATION SCHEDULE: Annual.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelors Degree in the social sciences and six months experience in behavioral health, preferably residential treatment and /or High school Diploma with 2 years’ experience in behavioral Health or in admin role in a BH facility.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
