Ascend seeks a dynamic Manager of Teaching and Learning who will work closely with our Teaching and Learning team to establish a seamless implementation of our curricular programming. This role sits on our Schools Team, which ensures that we provide students with a high-quality education that unlocks a life of boundless choice. We do this by creating the conditions for excellence across our schools. As an integral facilitator on our team, the M-TL will ensure that the Teaching and Learning team works seamlessly to implement our vision for curriculum by ensuring that all members of the team are working in lockstep with one another in partnership for our schools.

Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Own and update agendas, prepared materials, and ensure operational readiness for all Teaching and Learning team meetings, retreats, and professional development sessions.
- Draft clear communications for internal and external stakeholders, including Network Team, Schools Team, Teaching and Learning, and school staff
- Act as the T L Team's point person for inquiries and guidance across the organization, ensuring timely and informative responses.
- Platform Management
- In partnership with the Director of Publications, build, refine, and implement our strategy for management of assignments within our online platforms (including Illuminate and Pear)
- In partnership with the Director of Publications, build, manage, and ensure alignment to all project plans on curricular resource curation, creation, and upload to platforms, including content input into Illuminate and Lear
- In partnership with the Academic Outcomes Team, ensure alignment to best in class practices for data and materials management on our online platform
- Curricular Management
- In partnership with the Network Directors of Content, build, monitor, and ensure alignment with project plans, focusing on curricular and assessment piloting, adoption, implementation, analysis, and revision
Staff and reporting relationships
The Manager of Teaching and Learning reports to the Senior Managing Director of School Design. The Manager of Teaching and Learning will work closely with the Network Directors of Literacy, Math, and Science, along with the Director of Publications and the Senior Manager of Academic Data to ensure that all functions of the Teaching and Learning team are working in concert with one another.

Compensation
Initial salary offers for this position range from $70,000 - $75,000. Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience and levels of attained education.
