Overview
Reporting to the Director FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the development of financial reports, models, projections, and analyses for Ascend Learning and its charter schools. The financial analyst will also support with grants management and grants compliance, including grant budget development and reporting.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree required
- Superb organizational, project management, and self-management skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively and flexibly; effective problem-solving skills
- Highly skilled in the use of Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, favoring direct, plain, and concise communications
- Excellent work habits, including a willingness to do what is necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures

Responsibilities
Staff and reporting relationships
The Senior Financial Analyst reports to Ascend's Director FP&A and will collaborate closely with the chief financial officer and the director of finance, as well as other members of the Ascend network team and School Operations teams.
Compensation
Initial salary offers for this position range from $70,000 - $80,000. Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience and levels of attained education.
