Starting salary for both roles is $40K-$50K DOE plus 401K

Job Title 1: Infant Teacher
Duties:
" Develop schedules and routines ensuring physical activity, rest, and playtime that inspire and engage infants throughout their day.
" Create a nurturing, supportive, and safe classroom environment that fosters a warm, encouraging space for infants' developmental growth.
" Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activity-based lesson plans focusing on motor skills, social interaction, and sensory awareness to stimulate and delight young minds.
" Monitor and report on infants' development and behavior, celebrating milestones and identifying any areas where additional support might be needed.
" Change diapers while maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring a fresh and comfortable experience for each infant.
" Feed infants according to a schedule and dietary guidelines provided by parents or caregivers, catering to their nutritional needs with care and attention.
" Ensure safety and well-being of the infants at all times, upholding safety and emergency procedures to create a secure and peaceful environment.
" Communicate regularly with parents or caregivers about the infants' progress and needs through Remini, providing updates that build trust and collaboration.
" Maintain a clean, safe, engaging, and age-appropriate learning environment, designed to captivate and support infants' curiosity and growth.
" Administer first aid as necessary and handle infants' medical emergencies, responding with skill and compassion to ensure their health and safety.
Job Title 2: Preschool Teacher
Duties:
" Create lesson plans based on child interest and Connecticut Early Learning and Developmental Standards
" Maintain a weekly classroom schedule with clear aims, targets, and tasks, following the Director's guidance.
" Observe, document, and celebrate children's achievements and milestones, offering insights into their growth and development.
" Meet with parents to discuss progress, priorities, and ways to support their child's learning.
" Communicate daily with parents via Remini, sharing details and photos from each day.
" Build meaningful relationships with children and families based on trust, respect, and open communication.
" Partner with fellow teachers and staff to plan and execute engaging projects and events.
" Attend staff meetings, collaborate on lesson planning, and adjust programs as needed.
" Maintain accurate student records and reports as required.
" Ensure a welcoming, clean, and safe learning environment where children feel empowered to explore and thrive.
" Assist with basic needs such as clothing and bathroom assistances.
" Organize and display students' work reflecting current themes and interests.
" Comply with all educational requirements and enforce administrative policies.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND REQUIREMENTS
" Master's degree preferred
" Bachelor's Degree or a Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate required.
" A minimum of 3 years proven experience as an Infant Teacher, Preschool Teacher or in a similar role required.
" Strong communication skills essential for collaborating with parents about their child's progress.
" Knowledge of child development and milestones associated with each age group required.
" Physical ability to lift children, set up equipment, and engage in activities with infants required.
" Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment required.
" Excellent observational skills preferred for monitoring infants' behavior and progress and identifying any developmental issues or delays.
" Patience and emotional resilience necessary, as working with infants can be challenging and stressful.
" First aid and CPR certification, along with knowledge of safety protocols for dealing with emergencies.
" Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with school leaders and teachers.
" Knowledge of Canva, Google Suites, Publisher, and Word.
