About the Recruiter Role (Remote – Outside of Houston, TX)

As a Remote Recruiter at Legacy, you will play a critical role in identifying and attracting top talent for our clinical and corporate teams, including nursing roles and other essential healthcare positions. Since this is a fully remote role, we are looking for someone who is highly self-motivated, personally accountable, and excels at working independently while maintaining high levels of productivity and responsiveness.

This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent follow-through, and the ability to self-manage workload efficiently. While great recruiters can come from anywhere, healthcare recruitment experience is highly valued and will help you succeed in this role.

What We’re Looking For

High-Volume Recruitment Experience – While not extreme, expect around 35-40 active requisitions at a time, occasionally flexing up to 60. Prior experience hiring front desk staff, call center reps, medical assistants, nurses, and corporate roles is a plus.

Healthcare Recruitment Experience Preferred – Understanding the unique challenges of hiring for clinical and non-clinical roles in a healthcare setting is highly valued.

Self-Directed & Personally Accountable – You take full ownership of your workload, ensuring tasks are completed on time without constant oversight.

Strong Vetting Skills – We need recruiters who dig deeper—not just checking boxes, but truly understanding a candidate’s movement, motivations, and potential red flags.

Sense of Urgency & Adaptability – Things change fast. We need someone who can shift priorities quickly, manage multiple roles efficiently, and ensure no candidates are left waiting.

Ownership & Accountability – You take responsibility for your hires, ensuring long-term fit rather than just filling seats.

Creativity & Strategic Thinking – For hard-to-fill roles, you don’t rely solely on job postings. You leverage sourcing strategies, build relationships, and find ways to connect with top talent.

Relationship Builder – Recruiters here work closely with hiring managers and HR business partners, acting as a trusted advisor rather than just a process manager.

Coachable & Competitive – You’re eager to grow, learn, and refine your craft. A healthy level of competitiveness helps drive success while keeping the team motivated.

Agency In-House Recruitment Experience Preferred – While not required, we value recruiters who have worked in both agency and corporate settings and understand the balance between speed and quality.

AI-Friendly Workplace – We welcome the use of AI tools to improve efficiency and productivity, though we do not currently supply AI software.

Fully Remote Work – This position is fully remote but is open only to candidates living outside of the Houston area.
