What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medicine Physician position at Ascend Medical Staffing?
Work in a 12 bed Emergency Department within a 25 bed critical access hospital.
The ED is staffed with an EM physician, 3 RNs and will begin receiving medical residents from July 2024.
Average daily patient census is 38, with an average length of stay of 98 minutes.
You will work 12 hour shifts on an ongoing basis.
This ED performs usual procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, conscious sedation, laceration repair and more.
The department also handles central line placement, suturing, I&D, dental blocks, foreign body removal, reductions, cardioversion, codes, stroke and STEMI cases, as well as pediatric and adult care.
To be successful in this role, you must have an active AR license and current certifications in ACLS and ATLS.
