Ascend Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Hospitalist Physician to join our team in a rural setting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The selected candidate will work independently, providing 24-hour inpatient hospital coverage.
- They will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- A Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine/Hospitalist Physician is required.
- The candidate must have an active, clean Kansas License.
- They should also possess a clean DEA and NPDB record, with no current suits or unresolved cases.
- A minimum of one 4-7 day placement commitment is expected, although multiple placements can be accepted.
- The ideal candidate should have experience in emergent intubations, vents, and lines, and be able to sign off on their qualifications and experience.
- ACLS certification is mandatory.
- Rigorous hospitalist experience is necessary, with logs submitted for the previous 12 months showing at least a handful of emergent procedures.
- The selected candidate must be willing to arrive early for a 4-hour orientation prior to their shift.
- A commitment to working with small town, rural, and underserved populations is essential.
