What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitalist Physician position at Ascend Medical Staffing?
Seeking experienced Hospitalists to provide medical coverage in rural and remote areas, with a current focus on Worland, Wyoming. The ideal candidate will possess an active WY medical license, Board Certification in Internal Medicine/Hospitalist, a Clean DEA & NPDB record, and a minimum of one year of experience.
Key Requirements:
- Active WY medical license
- Board Certification in IM/Hospitalist (BE/BC)
- Clean DEA & NPDB record
- Minimum of one year experience
- ACLS certification
- Ability to intubate
The selected provider will be required to perform admits, rounding, and night call shifts. A 4-day period of coverage is needed for the community, with 24-hour shifts consisting of 12-15 hour facility shifts and night call. Orientation typically lasts 4 hours and takes place on weekdays, with specific schedules provided based on shift timing.
Travel and lodging arrangements will be made by the client, including hotel accommodations for the first night and facility-owned lodging thereafter. Informal rounding and interaction with ED and nursing staff between 9pm and 10pm are encouraged to preempt potential issues during the night.
Work Arrangements:
- Shifts: 24 hours, typically 12-15 hour facility shifts night call
- Shift times: 12pm - 12pm (next day)
- Orientation: 4 hours, weekday mornings
