Job Title: Medical Director - Lawrenceville Correctional Center

A challenging and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Medical Director to lead the healthcare team at the Lawrenceville Correctional Center in Virginia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical direction and supervision to all independent clinical staff and various providers, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered within the facility.

The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills, as well as excellent management and supervisory abilities. They will also have a strong understanding of medical ethics and be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

The role requires a Medical Doctor with a Virginia license and board eligibility/certification in internal medicine, family practice, emergency medicine or a similar specialty. Considerable active medical treatment and management experience is also essential.

In addition to the core responsibilities, the successful candidate will also develop medical staff bylaws and hold regular meetings with the medical staff, including processes for granting privileges, clinical competency assessments, peer reviews and due process for removal of clinical privileges.

This position offers a competitive salary, up to $326,353 per year, as well as a range of benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
