Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Ascend Medical Staffing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family medicine and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to individuals and families in a primary care setting
- Conduct thorough medical histories, perform physical exams, and order diagnostic tests as needed
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including minor surgical procedures
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- Active DEA license
- APC's with 3 years of experience in a similar setting
- PAs must have CA Controlled Substance Education Course Certificate
- NPs must have Furnishing License with Schedules II
Credentialing Process
- Immunization Requirements:
- Flu vaccine
- TB status/X-ray results
- Positive MMR titer or complete immunization series
- Positive Hep B titer or complete immunization series
- Positive Varicella Zoster titer or complete immunization series
- Tdap immunization (within the last 10 years)
- COVID-19 Vaccination:
- Primary series plus booster
- OR: 1 dose of the current COVID vaccine (2023/2024 formulation)
Notice Period
A minimum of 30 days' notice is required for ending all assignments.
