Job Title: Mental Health Medical Assistant

The Mental Health Medical Assistant provides administrative and clinical support to the mental health team. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with patient care, and providing administrative support to the clinical team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answer telephones and respond to patient inquiries
• Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records
• Assist with patient care, including taking vital signs, collecting samples, sending prescriptions, and administering medications
• Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including preparing reports, and maintaining files
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Comply with all HIPAA regulations and compliancy requirements

Patient Support:

• Provide information about our services and answer inquiries from patients
• Assist clients with completing necessary forms and paperwork

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with Ascend providers, medical staff, and other team members to provide excellent patient care and support

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience as a medical assistant or in a related field
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive etc..)
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in a healthcare setting is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
