What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance I&E III position at Ascend Performance Materials Operations LLC?
POSITION OVERVIEW
This is primarily a rotating shift assignment after training is completed. Successful completion of the Work Keys test is required. Tests will be administered as needed.
TARGETED OUTCOMES
Troubleshooting failures and breakdown of electrical equipment & instrumentation; quickly diagnose issues and solve problems.
Perform planned work; repairs, preventative maintenance, and installation and commissioning new pieces of electrical equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful completion of the Work Keys test.
Adhere to all safety standards, procedures, policies, and protocol.
Work with sense of urgency. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and installation/maintenance manuals.
Possess satisfactory job and safety performance in current assignment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and without close supervision.
Willingness and ability to work in a journeyman electrician’s capacity;
Install conduit, cable, electrical equipment, and more.
Willingness and ability to work in a journeyman instrumentation technician’s capacity;
Troubleshooting PLCs, motors starters, relays, solenoid valves, flow control orifices, flow instruments, electrical motors, electrical circuits, proximity sensors, thermocouples, electric heaters, VFDs, and more

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Prefer experience as a journeyman electrician and experience as a journeyman instrument technician.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without accommodation.
Ability to walk up and down stairs of 20-30 steps. Ability to climb a straight ladder of 15-18 feet.
Ability to push and/or pull items on rollers or wheel carts.
