What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Finance Systems Analyst position at Ascend Performance Materials Operations LLC?
POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary responsibility of the Finance Systems Analyst is to actively drive the evolution of finance systems and processes. The Finance Systems Analyst will play a critical role in providing data and intelligence to optimize the execution of day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate will make recommendations to improve the efficiency of processes and tools used.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a system-based cash forecast, including a 13-week cash view using the direct method and longer-term forecasts using the indirect method.
- Optimize secondary processes and systems that provide inputs to cash forecasts, such as PO issuance and structure, the AP ledger, High Radius reporting, and related tools.
- Increase the usage of OneStream in finance and beyond by implementing features such as:
- Consolidated Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and GAAP Cash Flow
- 13-week cash forecast
- Monthly reporting package
- Business Unit (BU) Income Statements based on transfer pricing
- Plant Income Statements based on transfer pricing
- CAPEX, Turnaround, and Catalyst spend planning
- SGA Cost Center forecasting
- People planning
- Develop robust productivity tracking for procurement with verification against the Income Statement.
- Enhance logistics cost transparency and forecasting accuracy.
- Provide support for OneStream users, including conducting training as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 10 years of experience, preferably in finance systems, finance, or a related area
- Proven proficiency with Office 365, SAP, Celonis, Finance Systems Management Systems, and OneStream
- Demonstrated ability to build performance-driven relationships and collaborate effectively outside of the finance function

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to dive deeply into details when needed.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse cross-functional and cross-business teams.
- Proactive and willing to initiate or participate in projects within Finance Systems and across other departments.
