As the very first point of contact by our patients and prospective patients, the Patient Resource Specialist role is held in high regard and is of critical importance to overall organizational success. The Patient Resource Specialist will handle of inbound calls for all locations with a special focus on providing concierge level patient assistance, practice and provider credentialing and call conversion.
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Promptly and courteously answers inbound phone calls.
- Handles all calls with the highest level of customer care by being courteous, patient and helpful throughout the entire call process.
- Handles all calls from potential patients with a focus on credentialing the practice, ASC and providers.
- Handles all referrals from other practices.
- Focuses on converting calls to appointments whenever possible.
- Responsible for having a high level of knowledge about all services, treatments, and surgeries provided by our facility.
- Delivers high quality customer service in keeping with the PVPS Core Values.
- Schedules appointments for 30 providers, preregisters patients and collects credit card information.
- Educates patients on what to expect during their visit and how to prepare for the upcoming appointment.
- Makes product and services suggestions for patients when appropriate; Assists patients with cosmetic product purchases.
- Required to respond to email inquiries, web leads, and similar forms of electronic communications.
- Responsible for answering and documenting all Mymedleads, internet and chat leads.
- Credential practice, providers, products and procedures.
