Overview
We're looking for curious minds like yours to join our collaborative educator team at Brooklyn Ascend High School (BAHS). If you are always finding wonder in the ordinary (bananas are slightly radioactive!), and can’t help but see the force diagram when a ball is tossed in the air, then we want to hear from you!
We are currently hiring for Science Teachers for the following courses :
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Advanced Placement (A.P.) AP Computer Science
Our science courses are built on investigation, dynamic discussions, and creative modeling for you and your students. From engaging in hands-on experiments and collaborative projects, to using JavaScript to create games and design virtual worlds. These courses are designed to spark curiosity and deepen understanding of the natural world.

Responsibilities
Staff and Reporting Relationships
The high school Science Teacher reports to the principal. They also accepts direction from and works closely with the department head and the school’s culture team.

Compensation
Initial salary offers for this position range from $61,900 - $91,750. Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience and levels of attained education.
