Ascend's Little Miracle Program seeks a Full-Time Preschool Assistant to support our 'Little Miracles' Community Program in Hayward for children with developmental, learning, sensory processing, and language and communication disorders. We seek a dedicated and passionate Full-time Aide who can work as a team to help create a fun environment and incorporate educational activities that assist our children's development.

Hours are Mondays - Fridays - 32 to 40 hours per week
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
- 1-year minimum working with children ages 0-5 years old.
- MUST HAVE experience working with children/adults with special needs
- CPR
- A minimum of 6 ECE (Early Childhood Education) units are preferred but can also be enrolled or after starting enrollment.
- Must be comfortable with diaper changing and assisting staff in cleaning up for the kiddos
PREFERRED
- Bilingual preferred (but not required)

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment for young children.
- Support teachers in implementing lesson plans and adapting materials for diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements.
- Foster communication with students and parents, ensuring a bilingual approach when necessary.
- Help with daily cleaning and organization of classroom spaces to promote a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
- Engage with children during play and learning activities, promoting their social and emotional development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
