HIRING A WAREHOUSE DELIVERY DRIVER in the Lancaster area! CLASS B CDL is required.
Summary / Objective :
The primary role of a Driver is to transport products to customers in the safest manner possible. A driver can expect to be sitting down most of the time, as much of a Driver’s time will be spent driving a truck to deliver product. A driver must always be prepared for hazardous road conditions should there be rain or snow.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required. Shipping loads out to customers daily via trailer with semi-truck or box trucks daily.
Opening and closing curtains / doors daily.
Make sure maintenance on trucks and trailers is kept up daily.
Help load / unload truck.
Fill out documents.
Remains in compliance with all DOT regulations and procedures and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Location : Lancaster, TX 75134
Shift : 6 : 00am-2 : 30pm (Monday-Friday)
Pay Range : $20.00-$22.00 / hr. Weekly Pay!
Qualifications :
Two to four years related experience and / or training.
Class B CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), Chauffer’s license and a good driving record
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, delivery documents and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Travel : Travel is required.
