Floor Tech Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)
Responsible for operating molding machines, including the removal, inspection, and packing of injection molded parts.
Responsible for secondary operations as needed, included but not limited to the trimming of gates, use of check gauges, assembly, packaging, printing, etc.
Responsible for following packaging guides to correctly package parts into boxes.
Must have the ability to read and understand English in order to read inspection and quality instructions.
Must distinguish between good and bad parts by visual, color and / or physical characteristics.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds to a chest high position.
Must be able to bend, twist, and apply pressure for positioning cartons, opening and closing machine doors, and performing secondary operations on molded parts. These operations may be in a repetitive mode over an extended period of time.
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time while working on machinery. Must have a good degree of manual dexterity in order to handle, package, and inspect parts coming off of a molding machine.
Must be able to understand and follow instructions from the department foreman, and make clear judgements about a products quality.
Must be aware of and be responsible for one’s own safety, as well as continuously monitoring the safety of those around you. Must understand hazardous communication, and safety information. Must wear proper safety equipment (Safety glasses, ear protections, etc.).
Must perform such other duties as are assigned from time to time.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Floor Tech Shift Info
Graveyard Shift, 11 : 40 PM to 7 : 10 AM
Monday - Saturday
Floor Tech Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)
Floor Tech experience preferred
Able to work in the US
Prior experience is preferred
Ability to operate and maintain (general cleaning and troubleshooting) mechanical floor cleaners, polishers, and vacuums
Must be able to show adequate attendance
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to understand instructions and follow them
