Maintenance Mechanic - 5 Years Experience

Maintenance Mechanic Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)
Perform routine maintenance around the building fixing structural damage to building systems
Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage
Work on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
Maintain the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
Apply preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
Perform preventive maintenance on assigned lines
Repair all production equipment as needed.
Upgrade areas with new equipment / technology, work with outside contractors working on assigned lines.
Change line for package changeover
Maintenance Mechanic Shift Info
Day Shift, 8 : 00 to 5 : 00
Monday - Friday
Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)
Must be 18 years or older
HS Diploma or GED
5 plus years maintenance mechanic experience needed. Food maintenance a plus or college degree in lieu of experience
Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns and repairing issues
Experience working with hydraulic systems, cylinders, pumps, and experience with pneumatics required.
Maintenance Mechanic experience preferred
Experience working with electrical systems. Experience working with programmable logic controllers.
Able to work in the US
Able to pass a background check
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricity
Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
Grounds keeping skills if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance
Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner
Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in a timely manner and any warning signs of problems are not overlooked
Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
Able to pass a background check
Able to work in the US
