Job Description
The Welder assembles pieces of metal or repairing damage to product using welding equipment and tools. The Welder is responsible for housekeeping, material handling, material prep, autonomous maintenance, welding operation, plant quality, plant safety, administrative compliance, safety, relationships and attendance.

Fitter / Welder Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)
Read and understand blueprints prior to starting a project
Source the materials to be used in the project
Measure and cut materials to specifications
Weld materials using the correct materials to join the metals together
Check finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints
Fitter / Welder Shift Info
Day Shift, 5am to 2 : 30pm
Monday - Friday
Some Saturdays for overtime (5am-11am)
Fitter / Welder Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)
Fitter and Mig welding experience required
GED / High School Diploma
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Able to pass a background check
Able to work in the US
Knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools
Proven experience as welder
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
Deftness and attention to detail
Proficient in English
Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required
AWS welding certificate
Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) a plus
Able to pass a background check
Able to work in the US
