Our healthcare client needs a Facilities Manager to be the central point of contact for all things related to properties in the East Bay. This is a 3-6 moth long contract opportunity with the potential to extend. The role


Job Description — The Facilities Manager will be the primary contact for all property related issues for the Facility employees. This position will manage to accomplish those requests via coordination and/or interface with Facilities Management, Design & Construction, Engineering & Maintenance, and property managers, landlord, and service contract provider as appropriate. The Facilities Manager will provide facilities management support to both owned and leased properties outside of the main facility.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate efforts of all individuals involved in project completion including, but not limited to, attorneys, architects, engineers, general contractors and municipal officials
  • Conduct regular field inspections tracking progress of projects and generating status reports
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus to actively manage and coordinate project meetings and meets with key customer contacts on monthly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with company site safety requirements — fire/life/safety compliance with regards to drills and evacuations
  • Assures that all appropriate Landlord approvals are obtained for alterations/remodels.
  • Manages service providers of the leased spaces wherein the Facility is responsible for 100% of the maintenance.
  • Ability to conduct analysis, plan, organize and manage building operational services; develop, implement and evaluate a variety of building and operation systems and preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to understand the terms of a contract for facilities maintenance or repair and ensure that work is performed accordingly to that contract
  • Manages the Landlord/Property Manager relationships to assure adherence to lease terms from two perspectives: The Facility as Tenant and the Facility as Landlord.
  • Performs regular site inspections with service providers. While adhering to and/or develop quality indicators.
  • Prepares annual operating and capital budgets, prepares five-year capital plans, and explains budget variances.
  • Supports transition from Design & Construction or Facility Planning to occupancy.
  • Works with Engineering & Maintenance to assure customers are responded to and property maintained.
  • Supports preparing requests for proposals (RFPs) as necessary and negotiates service contracts.
  • Performs monthly environment of care (EOC) rounds on the assigned portfolio properties.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training, communication and adherence to safety and quality programs, sustaining compliance with National Safety Goals and licensure.
  • Must abide by all Joint Commission Requirements including but not limited to sensitivity to cultural diversity, rights and ethical treatment, safety and security of physical environments, emergency management, teamwork, respect for others.
  • Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Service Standards of the Facility(s)


Requirements:

  • 5 years of related Project Management experience working with multiple sites.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to complete projects timely and with high quality – we need a Construction Project Manager with excellent follow through!
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize as necessary and leverage resources throughout the organization.
  • Exceptional problem solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • License/Certification: CDL California Driver’s License


Compensation


Up to 75/HR DOE

Salary : $50 - $75
