POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant is a highly accountable and results-oriented professional who is ready to hit the ground running by providing support to the organization’s accounting department by managing daily accounting and finance tasks. The goal of this position is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the accounting team and help our executive and management teams to understand the organization’s financial condition, allowing the correct decisions to be made in order for the organization to accomplish long-term success and scalable growth. This individual will ensure that reports are designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s financial results, and comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

OBJECTIVES
- Work with the accounting team to ensure the accuracy of entries
- Collaborate with departments within the organization to gather, analyze, and interpret any relevant financial information
- Manages and oversees timely and accurate processing and recording of all financial transactions in Subsidiaries ledgers and sub-ledgers, including general ledger, banking, revenue and billing, cash receipt, accounts payable, and fixed assets
- Ensures all Balance Sheet and key Profit and Loss accounts are reconciled and prepare appropriate workpapers for each account monthly.
- Lead month-end close processes and ensures the preparation and submission of any required financial reports to support senior management teams of any related companies
- Prepare account reconciliation as well analyze any discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain amortization schedule
- Regular and periodic review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Support the accounting team with month-end, quarter end close process.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance internal controls
- Act as a Stakeholder when necessary
- Perform other accounting duties and support staff members as required
COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of Accounting Systems/apps such as (Excel/Google sheets, QBO, NetSuite, Great Plains or similar systems
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Procedures (GAAP)
- Ability to compile and analyze financial information
- Understanding of how to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, document and research business transactions
- Demonstrate high level of attention to detail to avoid or catch potential errors across financial statements
- Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
- Knowledge of best practices for performing month-end closings
- Experience with project accounting
- Experience with a technology industry organization
- Ability to track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules
- Ability to work with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
- Experience working with a small fast-paced organization

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
