PURPOSE
To ensure the proper and efficient hiring of commercial vehicle operators and independent contractor drivers as needed to support our operations, through the management of the recruiting team. Responsible for daily operational management and development of the Recruiting team. Provides training and coaching as necessary to develop and improve Recruiter performance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinates efforts of the team to exceed weekly hiring and retention targets.
- Coaches and trains the recruiters on effective phone conversations, how to overcome objection, and properly qualify candidates.
- Conduct a review of driver qualification files for compliance
- Measures and tracks performance, provides training and feedback to help individuals succeed, and demonstrates selling skills to role model behavior.
- Optimizes the performance and accuracy of dashboards, drip marketing, reports, statuses, and workflow of Tenstreet.
- Ensures data integrity is maintained within Tenstreet by having strong processes, auditing compliance, and coaching execution.
- Determine current staffing needs and schedules work activities appropriately.
- Plans and conducts recruitment and selection process for Recruiting staff. (Interviews, screening calls etc.).
- Participates in planning and implementation of advertising initiatives sufficient to achieve planned driver hires.
- Monitor needs for company seated trucks and adjusts tactics and strategy accordingly.
- Ensures a positive candidate experience.
- Recommends and takes responsibility for training and development among staff.
- Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
- Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
- Able to promote a culture of trust and safety. Explores the market best practices and implements appropriate best practices within the organization
- Acts as a single point of contact for other company managers regarding recruitment topics.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or like discipline,
- Minimum two years or demonstrated ability to manage others and lead processes.
- Current working knowledge of human resource functions.
- Two years’ experience in the transportation industry and recruiting OTR drivers.
- 1-2 years of LinkedIn Recruiter knowledge preferred.
- 2-5 years of relevant recruiting, sourcing, and staffing experience in talent acquisition.
- Ability to actively source, attract and screen quality, diverse talent. Knowledgeable about unconscious bias in recruiting.
- Effective use of written and oral communication.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Familiar with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Experience with high volume phone calls.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
