About the Position
We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL A Dedicated Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team at Ascend. As a member of our fleet, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various regional routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive assigned tractor-trailer combination safely and efficiently to designated delivery locations
- Ensure all shipments are properly secured and protected during transit
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
- Comply with all applicable federal and state regulations regarding transportation
- Participate in pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
Requirements and Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with at least 1 year of over-the-road experience
- 6 months or more of experience driving flatbed equipment
- No more than 2 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
- Ability to fulfill duties that require repetitive bending and reaching
Benefits and Perks
- $0.55 per mile base pay
- $50 Tarp pay when paid mileage
- Local dispatch pays $24.50 per hour with OT after 40 Hours
