Ascender Studios, a fast-growing digital-first marketing agency specializing in health and wellness brands—from high-end skincare to rare diseases—is looking for a full-time Creative Director, Copy to lead content development, drive strategic messaging, and guide a small team of writers.
About the Role
As Creative Director, Copy, you'll split your time between hands-on content creation (75%) and team leadership (25%), ensuring all messaging is strategic, compelling, and aligned with brand objectives. You’ll develop messaging that resonates across patient and healthcare professional (HCP) audiences, shaping narratives that drive engagement and action.
From social media posts that reach prospective patients to interactive sales aids that help sales reps communicate complex science effectively, you’ll oversee content that informs, inspires, and converts.
What You'll Do
- Develop and refine brand messaging for campaigns, research initiatives, and omnichannel marketing efforts.
- Write and oversee content across multiple formats—websites, digital ads, emails, social media, CRM, interactive experiences, and more.
- Ensure content aligns with strategic brand positioning and regulatory requirements.
- Translate complex medical and scientific concepts into clear, engaging narratives for both patients and HCPs.
- Guide and mentor a small team of writers, providing feedback and elevating their work.
- Collaborate closely with designers, strategists, account, and clients to develop breakthrough creative.
- Stay ahead of trends in healthcare marketing, omnichannel storytelling, and digital engagement.
What We’re Looking For
- 10 years of experience in healthcare/pharma advertising, medical communications, or digital marketing.
- Strong strategic mindset, with experience developing messaging frameworks for research and campaigns.
- Proven ability to craft compelling, insight-driven content for both patients and HCPs.
- Expertise in digital-first marketing, including CRM, paid social, and interactive content.
- Ability to distill complex medical/scientific concepts into engaging, consumer-friendly language.
- Leadership experience managing and mentoring writers.
- Knowledge of pharma regulations (FDA, OPDP) and medical/legal review processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills—you’ll be interfacing with clients, creatives, and strategists.
Salary : $170,000 - $190,000
