Leading Philanthropic Organization is looking for a college graduate, preferably with Internship or Professional Experience with a Non-profit or Philanthropic Organization to join its Grant Operations Team as a Grant Operations Analyst . This Team oversees the lifecycle of all Grantmaking Processes for program officers and grantees, ensures compliance and due diligence of grants with IRS policies and organization requirements, provides reporting to Finance and Senior Leadership, and manages the Grants Database. It ensures the seamless administration and execution of grants for the organization.
In this role, you will track complex fiscal issues and foster meaningful action that requires developing targeted, high impact grant investments. To be successful, the organization must leverage its resources to support education, research and analysis, and outreach to policymakers and the American public at large.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position is a key contributor to the grantmaking function of the organization and will work as a Team with an Associate to support grantmaking activities.
In order to build productive relationships across the organization and to ensure effective collaboration, this role requires in-person presence in accordance with the organization’s hybrid schedule of working in the office three days per week (Monday / Tuesday / Thursday).
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
The ideal candidate will have :
Bachelor’s degree required.Strong Preference for Individual with Previous Internship or Professional Experience with a Non-profit or Philanthropic Organization.Experience using Databases as a Tool for Effective Operations and Knowledge Management.Experience with Blackbaud Grantmaking preferred .Experience with Project Management Tools, such as Bespoke Excel-based Project Plans, Airtable and / or SmartSheet preferred.Proficient with Office Technology including Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook .Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for use in analyzing and presenting data.Exercise excellent Analytical and Problem-solving skills.Must be Well Organized, outstanding Attention to Detail and Follow-through and Strong Judgment.Produce high quality work while working with minimal direction and supervision.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-starter; highly motivated and resourceful team-player.Comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to work through solutions when there is no obvious path.Demonstrated ability to work proactively with colleagues and team members.Friendly and professional demeanor, positive attitude, and willingness to partner with other team members.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The main responsibilities of the job include :
Maintain database of grant history, potential grantee and proposal applications.Process and track all proposals and letters of inquiry.Assist with tracking grant modification requests, such as extensions, budget revisions, and carryovers.Track grant deliverables.Prepare correspondence and grant-related documentation.Update and maintain records in grants database.Provide assistance to grantees and staff regarding administration of grants.Assist with preparing and / or updating presentations and flow charts.Assist with developing templates and design reports for the efficient and effective oversight of grants.Maintain grants department files.Assist with grants analysis and process improvement projects.Support the department with back-end maintenance and development of grants database (Blackbaud Grantmaking / GIFTS Online).Interface with various departments on behalf of Grant Operations to collect information, respond to requests, obtain service, etc.
