What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bank Teller position at Ascendia Bank?
POSITION: Teller – Full Time
LOCATION: Glen Rock, New Jersey
Objective:
Under general supervision of the Branch Manager, but in accordance with established policies and procedures, is responsible for providing front line customer service, such as performing bank transactions, maintaining signature cards and records, and conducting projects and assignments as needed.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet customers and handle appropriate banking transactions
- Answer phone, respond to customer inquiries, refer caller to other staff members as deemed appropriate or take messages
- Count & distribute cash correctly; prove teller box daily with scanned work
- Receive, open, sort, and distribute incoming mail
- Adhere to current compliance and service performance standards
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good communicative and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer contact skills; comfortable asking questions & strong listening skills
- Ability to stay current on operational, product, and system changes/enhancements
- Ability to work branch hours, including Saturday mornings
- Ability to work in other branches as needed
Training and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Computer literate
- Basic math skills
- Complete ongoing compliance training
