Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect to support and guide the technical roadmap for the HHSC Salesforce organization. The ideal candidate will possess at least eight years of relevant experience and bring strong judgment, creativity, and independence to accomplish goals and solve complex challenges. This role requires a wide degree of latitude and the ability to lead and direct the work of others when necessary.

This individual will work with other Salesforce Architects to ensure that designs align with Salesforce best practices, follow low-code principles when appropriate, and leverage third-party tools effectively. The role involves both strategic and hands-on responsibilities, including the construction of architecture and design documentation, as well as configuration and development work within the Salesforce platform. A successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a commitment to high-quality deliverables, and the flexibility to provide on-call support and work extended hours when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into specific system, application, or process designs, including detailed financial modeling
• Construct service solutions that include technology, process, staffing, and risk analysis components
• Lead the creation of Statements of Work and other project documentation
• Oversee the technical roadmap and architectural strategy of the Salesforce platform
• Ensure that all solutions align with HHSC security, DIR requirements, and Salesforce best practices
• Participate in and lead design reviews, ensuring that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Provide architectural guidance across data integrations, service layers, and user interfaces, including low-code and custom solutions
• Manage and support Salesforce environments, including incident resolution and security compliance
• Provide mentorship and leadership to other team members as needed
• Remain available for on-call support and attend in-person meetings on short notice
  
  

Minimum Requirements:

• 8 years of experience with Enterprise and Software engineering using SEI, TOGAF, or similar methodologies
• 8 years of experience creating architecture views, documenting non-functional requirements, and overseeing implementation
• 8 years of experience as an Enterprise or Software Architect on Salesforce-based systems
• 8 years of experience integrating data and services into Salesforce, including use of MuleSoft and REST APIs
• 8 years of experience delivering low-code Salesforce solutions that align with both functional and non-functional requirements
• 8 years of experience troubleshooting complex software and hardware issues and recommending technology solutions
• 8 years of experience managing and maintaining Salesforce Orgs and implementing security practices
• 8 years of experience integrating technologies including Visualforce, LWC, Aura, Apex, HTML5, JavaScript, and data migration processes
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience with Salesforce development including Apex, Visualforce, triggers, Aura Components, and LWC
• Experience with no-code Salesforce configurations such as Flows, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules
• 2 years of experience with Agile software development methodologies
• 2 years of experience with cloud architecture platforms such as Azure or AWS
