IT Project Manager

Location: Richmond, VA

Hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and manage technology-driven initiatives across various business units. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and risk management skills to drive digital transformation and IT modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution:

• Develop and manage project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines
• Utilize project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) to ensure efficient project execution
• Work closely with business units to translate requirements into actionable technology solutions
• Track project milestones, manage dependencies, and proactively address risks
• Ensure projects meet performance, security, and compliance standards
  
  

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration:

• Lead cross-functional teams, including developers, infrastructure engineers, security teams, and business analysts
• Communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and executive leadership
• Facilitate project meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives for continuous improvement
• Act as a liaison between IT teams and business units to align technology solutions with business needs
  
  

Risk Management & Quality Assurance:

• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Ensure projects comply with IT governance, security policies, and industry regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2)
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and lessons learned
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
• Master's degree (preferred but not required)
• Experience:
• 5 years of experience in IT project management
• Experience in managing projects related to cloud migrations, IT security, software development, or enterprise IT infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of ITSM, ITIL, and DevOps methodologies is a plus
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
• ITIL Certification

• Cloud Technologies: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Software Development Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, SAFe
• Collaboration & Reporting: Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, Slack, Microsoft Teams
• Security & Compliance Frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2
