About the role:

Day to Day:

Collaboration with Design Teams:

• Work closely with design engineers to understand the product specifications and requirements.
• Provide feedback on design for manufacturability (DFM) and suggest improvements to enhance the assembly process.

Process Development:

• Develop and optimize assembly processes for new drone products.
• Implement efficient manufacturing workflows, considering cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and processes.

Prototyping and Validation:

• Oversee the creation of prototypes for new drone models.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of assembly processes to identify and resolve potential issues.

Quality Assurance:

• Establish quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed specifications.
• Implement and monitor rigorous quality assurance protocols throughout the process.

Supply Chain Coordination:

• Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure the timely availability of components for drone products.
• Identify and address any supply chain issues that may impact production schedules.

Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall product quality.

Qualifications:

• Background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in NPI engineering, preferably in the drone or aerospace industry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Location: Seattle, WA 98108 (100% Onsite)

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $40,000/year- $62,000/year. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
