About the Role:


Position: Construction Manager - Data Center

Location: Phoenix, AZ


Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction activities, vendor integration, and project execution for large-scale data center projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, budgeting, and process improvement, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and under budget.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Processes:

  • Develop and implement best practices for cost-effective project execution.
  • Manage the selection, contracting, and integration of multiple vendors and partners.
  • Drive deployment of scalable solutions that can be leveraged across projects.
  • Facilitate decision-making to optimize schedules, resolve challenges, and manage change effectively.
  • Apply influence, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking to recommend solutions.


Communication & Coordination:

  • Serve as the single point of contact for project development and delivery.
  • Review project cost metrics, KPIs, invoices, and process updates.
  • Organize and lead vendor and contractor meetings, integrating lessons learned into future projects.
  • Attend owner/architect/contractor (OAC) meetings and other project discussions, providing regular updates.
  • Report project progress on scope, schedule, and budget on a weekly basis or as required.


Project Accountability & Compliance:

  • Develop, manage, and report on project safety, scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Maintain direct fiscal responsibility for the approved project budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and industry best practices.
  • Oversee and manage project teams, ensuring performance meets expectations.
  • Prepare RFPs, PERs, and other project approval documentation.
  • Review and approve vendor/contractor scopes of work and site/building plans.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 years of construction management experience, ideally in data center projects.
  • Strong expertise in budget management and cost control.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and other relevant software.


Salary Range: $ 114000 - 128000 Annually - Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
