Job Title: Database Engineer
Required Skills:
- Certifying the latest and greatest of the technologies
- Execute proof of concepts
- Work cross-functionally
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, deploy, and run Postgres databases
- Evaluate and prepare new & upgraded Postgres and Postgres-compatible offerings for enterprise use
- Document and explain the new techniques, patterns, and best practices for the hosting, DB admin, and Ops Support team
Must-Have:
- 5-7 years experience with enterprise-scale Postgres deployments including:
Cluster management, troubleshooting, backup & restoration, rolling upgrade techniques, fault tolerance & failover, replication, monitoring and alerting, and security mechanisms.
- Knowledge of DBMS concepts (ACID, CAP & consistency)
- Postgres internals like durability and replication settings and performance tuning.
- Ability to write code in Python, Terraform, or other database-related tools
Location: This is a 100% Onsite Role - Phoenix AZ
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $100,000 – $122,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
