What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Law Attorney position at Ascendion?
Qualifications
- We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an attorney in the practice of Family Law
- The ideal candidate should have experience handling multiple types of family law cases such as dissolutions, property division, support, custody, paternity, domestic violence and post-judgment modifications
- We are looking for someone who is reliable and committed to providing excellent service to our clients
- Licensed attorney in good standing with the IL State Bar
- 2 years of experience practicing family law
- Courtroom experience including experience handling evidentiary hearings where testimony is taken, and Request for Order hearings
- Familiarity with commonly used Family Codes, case law, and judicial council forms
- Strong legal research and writing skills, preparing pleadings to RFOs, Declarations, and Points and Authorities
- Ability to conduct discovery, including propounding written discovery, responding to discovery, and preparing and responding to discovery motions; familiarity with C.C.P. deadlines and procedures
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple cases
