What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Coverage Attorney position at Ascendion?
We are an Award Winning, Nation Law Firm, looking to bring on an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join our growing team. The role is a remote or hybrid position, based on experience. We need someone with 3 years of insurance coverage experience.
Requirements:
- 3 years of defense litigation
- 1 years of coverage/coverage litigation experience
- Experience in areas of insurance coverage including drafting coverage opinions in one or more insurance lines (CGL, property, professional liability, cyber, intellectual property, etc.)
- Experience in either or both third-party or first-party claims
- Coverage analysis and writing experience
- Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions required
- Admitted to practice in the State of Utah
Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment
- Investigate claims and draft coverage opinion letters
- In coverage litigation matters, draft pleadings, motions, and handle discovery
- Provide clients with insurance coverage advice on a variety of subject
Salary : $140,000 - $200,000
