Job Title: Lead Software Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend solutions primarily using Python and Java.
- Leverage AWS to build and deploy backend services in the cloud, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and efficient workflows across development teams.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment, testing, and release processes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for backend services, ensuring stability and performance across different environments (e.g., staging, production).
- Take ownership of the production environment, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining services at optimal performance levels.
- Handle large-scale data processing tasks, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of professional experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Java.
- Strong experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB).
- Extensive experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar, and familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience leading technical teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills in both development and production environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration tools (Kubernetes), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Experience with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
Location: Richmond - VA( Preferred Location; Hybrid Role; Needs to work 3 days from Office in a week);
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $130,000– $140,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
