Job Title: Mainframe Consultant
As a Mainframe Consultant at Ascendion, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining critical systems including IBM Mainframe, Control-M, and Electronic Secure File Transfer (ESFT) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the continuous availability, performance, and security of these key systems that drive our operations.
- Proven experience working with IBM Mainframe systems (z/OS, JCL, and COBOL).
- Strong knowledge of Control-M job scheduling and automation.
- Experience with Electronic Secure File Transfer (ESFT), including configuration, troubleshooting, and ensuring secure file exchange processes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly resolve critical issues in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools and proactive issue resolution.
- Knowledge of ITIL incidents and problem management processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a 24/7 shift-based environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle evolving tasks in a dynamic environment.
