About the Role:
Job Title: ServiceNow Developer
Key Responsibilities:
- We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic team.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and managing ServiceNow modules, especially CMDB and IT Asset Management, and will drive the implementation of cutting-edge ITSM solutions.
- This role requires a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, full-stack development capabilities, and a collaborative mindset for working with agile teams.
- Develop and customize ServiceNow modules including CMDB and IT Asset Management.
- Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise tools/systems.
- Collaborate with product owners to define application features and testing scenarios.
- Develop high-quality, scalable software solutions across the full technology stack.
- Lead engineering practices focused on craftsmanship, resilience, scalability, and availability.
- Drive innovation and adopt new technologies to continually enhance the ServiceNow ecosystem.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams.
- Mentor team members, conduct code and design reviews, and share knowledge in internal/external communities.
- Ensure solutions meet defined SLA/SLOs, security, and compliance requirements.
- Promote inclusive, innovative, and customer-focused software development practices.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8 years of experience with ServiceNow platform and application development.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and platform-level implementations.
- Strong background in:
- ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript)
- REST/SOAP API integrations
- ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub
- Developing and customizing objects like tables, business rules, client scripts, UI actions, UI policies, script includes, and workflows
- Experience in:
- Creating/configuring Notifications, SLAs, and other functional elements.
- Implementing end-to-end ServiceNow applications for both new and existing use cases.
- Ability to define and document technical requirements, acceptance criteria, and test strategies.
- At least 3 years of experience in:
- IT Asset Management (ITAM)
- IT Operations Management (ITOM)
- Workflow Development on the ServiceNow platform.
- Proven record of mentoring junior developers and introducing process/tooling improvements.
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, CMDB/ITAM Specialist).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow deployments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Location: McLean, VA or Richmond, VA or Plano, TX
Interview: Onsite Interview is must so required local candidates.
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $130,000 – $150,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
