What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Associate Finance Operations position at Ascendis Pharma?
The Senior Associate position is based in Princeton and reports directly to the Director, Finance Operations. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience include the following:
- 3-5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field of study.
- Experience with IFRS, with detailed understanding of accounting methods, reporting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
- Strong analytical, proactive problem-solving skills, and collaboration skills critical to the role.
- Play a key role in developing and implementing efficient processes and that will scale with the company
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; extremely organized, detail-oriented, and mindful of deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues and solutions to all levels of management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple functional areas in a collaborative, team environment.
- Experience within Pharma/Biotech industry is preferred
- Experience with ERP and accounting system, preferably D365
- Ability to Travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Responsible for Expense Management including auditing, accruals, and providing training and support to the business.
- Responsible as Credit Card Administrator including opening and closing of credit cards, credit card maintenance and providing support to the business.
- Support Purchase Order Process including creation, maintenance, and training
- Responsible for accounting related activities including but not limited to account analysis and reconciliation, as well as monthly OPEX accrual entries.
- Support Vendor Onboarding process including creation and maintenance.
- Responsible to implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective internal controls and processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Serves as a superuser in D365 finance module
