Associate Designer (Custom Implants)
Overview
We are seeking Associate Designers to join a specialized team focused on creating custom patient-specific implants for orthognathic surgeries (e.g., correcting overbites or underbites). This position offers a unique opportunity to combine creativity with precision engineering to design products that directly impact patient outcomes.
Designs are created using Geomagic FreeForm software, a 3D modeling tool supported by a haptic feedback pen. While prior experience with FreeForm is not required, candidates should have experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks or other comparable programs.
This role is a permanent, on-site position in Jacksonville, FL.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and apply knowledge of custom implant design processes.
- Collaborate with Engineers who provide surgical plans to create detailed implant designs.
- Utilize CAD software and haptic feedback tools to design implants that meet technical, regulatory, and internal guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient-specific case files and documentation.
- Ensure implant designs are clear, accurate, and meet manufacturing requirements.
- Participate in testing designs to validate product performance, reliability, and usability.
