Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Director of Finance for a full-time, hybrid role located in New York City.
Our client is an international Advisory company with offices in London and New York.
Compensation for this role is up to $300,000 with amazing benefits. Remote capabilities up to 2-3 days a week.
What You'll be Doing:
- Oversee Daily Financial Operations (financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting processes) by the accounting team
- Financial Strategy & Planning
- Cash Flow & Liquidity Management
- Approval & Oversight of Transactions
- Compliance (tax regulations, financial laws, and internal controls)
- 401(k) Plan Administration Oversee 401(k) compliance and tax filings
- Payroll Compliance
- Liaison with External Stakeholders (external auditors, CPAs, banks, and regulatory agencies)
- Leadership & Team Development
- International Financial Oversight (including the company’s London office)
- Strategic Financial Decision-Making
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable Departments and Collections Strategy
- Industry-Specific Financial Expertise (bring experience working in financial or professional services)
- Year-End Tax & Audit Preparation
- QuickBooks System Optimization & Best Practices
Who You Are:
- 10 years of experience in a corporate office environment within a financial services or professional services firm
- 5 years of leadership experience overseeing an accounting department
- Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- Extensive experience with financial systems, including QuickBooks and/or other enterprise accounting software (e.g., Sage 100, Oracle ERP, NetSuite)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- U.S. employment authorization
