Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst in a manufacturing environment is responsible for analyzing financial data, monitoring production costs, and supporting decision-making to improve efficiency and profitability. This role involves financial planning, budgeting, variance analysis, and cost control to help optimize operations and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze manufacturing costs, including material, labor, and overhead, to improve cost efficiency.
- Prepare and review financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for production and operations.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted costs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor inventory valuation, cost accounting, and production expenses to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support capital expenditure (CapEx) analysis for investments in equipment, facilities, and technology.
- Partner with plant managers and operations teams to optimize financial performance.
- Identify and assess financial risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track plant and production efficiency.
- Assist in pricing analysis and profitability assessments for products and projects.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate cost allocations and financial statements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus).
- Experience: 2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, cost accounting, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, and leadership.
