What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fraud and Compliance Operations Specialist position at Ascendo Resources?
We are seeking a Fraud and Compliance Operations Specialist to support the organization as the 2nd line of defense in handling complaints, assisting with regulatory compliance, and working with multiple departments to mitigate risks. This role involves investigating, categorizing, and ensuring timely responses to customer concerns while coordinating with internal departments to drive resolution.
The ideal candidate is someone who has performed duties similar to the following:
- Properly record and track complaints from various channels.
- Analyze and categorize complaints based on risk level.
- Investigate and coordinate resolutions, ensuring timely responses.
- Escalate complex cases to subject matter experts when necessary.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee restitution processes and compliance escalations.
- Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance with consumer protection laws.
- Provide reports and insights to leadership on complaint trends and resolution effectiveness.
- Collaborate with multiple departments, including Risk, Compliance, Fraud, and Operations.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and best practices.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 year of experience handling customer complaints and/or fraud detection
- College degree (preferred) or equivalent working experience
- Spanish is a plus (but not required)
- consumer complaints, consumer compliance, Fraud, and BSA / AML.
- Location: Miami, FL work is onsite, in the office (No remote work allowed)
