Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical KYC Associate to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigating financial crime risks. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform KYC due diligence for new and existing clients, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Collect, verify, and analyze customer information, including identification documents, beneficial ownership structures, and business activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and escalate high-risk clients or suspicious activities to the appropriate compliance teams.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Compliance, Risk, and Operations, to ensure smooth onboarding and periodic reviews.
- Stay updated on evolving KYC regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Assist with audits and regulatory examinations by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency in KYC operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in KYC, AML, Compliance, or related functions within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including AML laws, FATCA, and the USA PATRIOT Act.
- Experience with KYC screening tools and databases such as World-Check, LexisNexis, or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders professionally.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with compliance software.
Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
